Our hybrid working structure as well as our learning and development function allow you to bring your best-self to work every day and grow your career in any way you want it. This is an environment that encourages change and fosters innovation. Anyone can make a difference at CityFibre, so what’s stopping you?

If you’re thinking of applying for a role at CityFibre, you should know that we’re mainly only looking for two things – passion and potential. As the fastest growing fibre network in the UK, there’s never been a better time to join us.

We’re passionate about our work and we’re passionate about our people too. With a competitive salary (+ car allowance) depending on experience, when you join the CityFibre family you’ll also enjoy benefits like 25 days’ holiday, a day off on your birthday, a day off to support a charity or organisation of your choice, a performance-related bonus scheme, and private healthcare.

We’re not looking for you to tick all the boxes, we’re looking for the right mindset and enthusiasm. If you think you’re right for the role, we want to hear from you.

Joining us as a Fibre Network Planner, your key focus will be to produce robust and cost-effective civils and fibre optic infrastructure designs, in line with our defined methodologies, architecture and project timelines. Day to day, this is what you can expect to be doing:

  • Designing suitable civils and fibre optic infrastructure which are cost-effective, fit-for-purpose and future-proof
  • Undertaking site surveys in accordance with CityFibre’s safety guidelines
  • Forecasting capex and opex requirements of designed infrastructure projects
  • Producing detailed industry-standard documentation of that design
  • Driving consistency, quality, suitability and cost-effectiveness

You’ll have a detailed understanding of all aspects of civil route and fibre planning, as well as an understanding of local and national authority civil engineering regulations. You’ll also bring some of the below to CityFibre with you:

  • The ability to produce industry standard level or survey, installation and as-built documentation
  • Working knowledge of industry recognised GIS software
  • NRSWA and FTTH methodologies and design
  • Full driving license

If you’ve just found yourself nodding and thinking, ‘I can do that!’, things are about to get exciting.

So that’s the role, now let us tell you a bit more about life at CityFibre. We’ve built a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace that offers anyone the chance to grow a new career. We’re a Times Top 50 Employer for Women, have partnerships with Work180, Vercida and Disability Confidence, just to name a few – it inspires us day-to-day. The foundations of our teams are rooted in respect, development and continuous support. Our people are already changing it up, are you ready to join them?
